The Pain Workshop was a one-day advanced event dedicated to ultrasound-guided pain management techniques, with a strong emphasis on anatomical precision and needle guidance. The program began with an in-depth session on the basics of ultrasound physics and knobology, where participants reviewed optimal setup, depth, gain, TGC, focusing, dynamic range, and needling techniques essential for accurate imaging and safe procedures.

Following the introductory lecture, participants engaged in extensive hands-on probe sessions to translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills. The workshop then delved into pelvic nerve blocks, covering the LFCN, ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric, genitofemoral, PENG, SIJ, piriformis, and pudendal nerve blocks, followed by supervised practice sessions to ensure procedural familiarity.

The afternoon sessions were devoted to knee and shoulder nerve blocks, including intra-articular knee injections, genicular nerve blocks, SASD and SSN blocks, axillary nerve blocks, and AC joint injections. Each theoretical component was paired with practical work under expert supervision, allowing participants to perform guided scans and refine their injection techniques.

By the end of the workshop, attendees had gained both a solid theoretical understanding and significant hands-on experience in ultrasound-guided pain injections. The event successfully bridged the gap between anatomy, sonography, and interventional pain procedures, enhancing the participants’ confidence and clinical competence in applying ultrasound in pain management.
