The Internal Medicine Workshop was a two-day event that provided participants with a thorough understanding of point-of-care ultrasound applications in internal medicine.
Day One focused on the foundations — ultrasound physics, image optimization, and knobology — before moving into kidney ultrasound, venous access, needle guidance, and musculoskeletal (MSK) sonography. Through hands-on sessions and phantom-based exercises, attendees gained practical experience in optimizing images and interpreting key anatomical structures.
Day Two advanced into cardiac, pulmonary, and abdominal ultrasound, emphasizing real-world diagnostic applications. Participants practiced comprehensive scanning techniques for the heart, lungs, and abdomen, integrating theory with supervised practice to consolidate their skills.
By the end of the workshop, attendees had strengthened their diagnostic proficiency and confidence in performing ultrasound across multiple internal medicine domains.
