Thyroid
The Thyroid Workshop was a comprehensive one-day program that introduced participants to the principles and practical applications of ultrasound in thyroid imaging. The day began with an overview of ultrasound fundamentals, including machine operation, knobology, and image optimization, followed by hands-on exercises using phantoms to strengthen probe-handling and scanning techniques.
Participants then explored thyroid anatomy and pathology, reviewing the normal sonographic appearance of the gland and surrounding neck structures. The sessions also covered ultrasound-guided venous access techniques, as well as the USG and cytological classification of thyroid nodules, common thyroid pathologies, and the assessment of neck lesions and lymph nodes. Alternating theory and practice ensured participants gained both diagnostic insight and procedural confidence.
By the end of the workshop, attendees had developed a solid foundation in performing and interpreting thyroid ultrasound, preparing them for advanced diagnostic and interventional applications.
